It's Great Big Green Week: the UK’s biggest ever celebration of action to tackle climate change and protect nature.

SKDC is hosting a series of fun drop-in events where visitors can chat with our waste team, play interactive games, hear from our sustainability team - and more.

The events are taking place in Deeping St James, Stamford, Barrowby and Bourne with partners from the farming community, the police, Lincolnshire County Council, the Wildlife Trust, Lincolnshire Co-op and SKDC's own waste and recycling team.

The Council will also be taking to social media this week to share "green" facts and figures, and more on SKDC's climate change ambitions.

This includes information on SKDC's decision-making, as well as its climate change and sustainability work surrounding power, transport, resources, communities, trees, rewilding, and supporting the local economy.

A spokesperson said: "By taking action together at the same time as others in every part of the country as part of this campaign, we can demonstrate that we care about tackling climate change and protecting nature."
