Visit Freshney Place this Halloween for a world of magic and mystery, inviting families to enjoy a day of free, enchanting fun on Saturday 25 October, from 11am to 3pm.

Themed Freshney Place and the Secret Chamber, the shopping centre will be transformed into a spellbound world, where aspiring young wizards can take part in a host of magical activities.

Throughout the day, families can look out for the wise headteacher and a courageous young wizard from the legendary trio, who will be roaming the malls. Catch them for a spell or a magic trick and grab a photo - bringing an extra touch of magic to the day.

There will be plenty to do and see. Children can get creative at the Wizard Academy workshop by designing their very own wizarding academy robes, which they can take home with them. They can also decorate accessories to complement the look, including their own bespoke badge, tie and wand to reflect their chosen schoolhouse.

Budding potion masters can also roll up their sleeves at the Wizard School Potion Workshop, where bubbling brews and mystical mixtures await.

And if that’s not enough, young wizards can also test their skills on the Potion Trail. They will be tasked with searching shop windows to find the ingredients they need to complete their enchanted potion. Once finished they can hand in their completed recipe to receive a free mystical treat.

Families will also have the chance to meet incredible creatures that look as though they have leapt straight from wizarding tales at the Magical Creature Encounter.  Meet and hold, if you dare, slithering snakes to exotic spiders – making a truly unforgettable encounter!

Elliott Andrews, Centre Manager at Freshney Place says:
“Halloween is always a highlight here at Freshney Place, and this year we’re excited to offer a new wizarding adventure for families to enjoy. From potion-making and robe decorating to seeing fascinating creatures, there’s something to spark the imagination of every young wizard – and it’s all completely free. We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone for a day of magical fun!”
