A new online directory to support military communities has been launched as part of Armed Forces Week.

The Connect to Support directory is the latest initiative from the Lincolnshire Armed Forces Community Covenant Partnership.

It lists more than 110 support organisations available in Lincolnshire to service veterans and families.

They include those working in physical and mental health, finance, benefits and hardship, children, young people and families, employment and training, support and social groups and housing and homelessness.

Cllr Bridget Ley, South Kesteven District Council Armed Forces Champion and Chairman of the county partnership, said: “This is a great resource and I am sure that it will prove incredibly useful.

“Our consultations confirmed the need for a directory with national information plus regional and local organisations and charities they could turn to for help, support and advice.

“We will be reviewing and updating the directory with new content as we become aware of new groups and organisations to ensure that it remains up to date and useful.”

The directory is being rolled out across the county for all community and military support organisations.

It was collated by the Lincolnshire Armed Forces Covenant Officer with assistance from Lincolnshire County Council Adult Services and the NHS and can be found online: Armed Forces Community Directory
