The Lincolnshire Agricultural Society (LAS) is once again inviting local charities to apply for its Chosen Charity of the Year initiative. This is a unique opportunity to gain year-round support and visibility through one of Lincolnshire’s most respected organisations.

Over the years, LAS has proudly supported charities such as St Barnabas, Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance, and most recently, Linkage Community Trust.

Celebrating Linkage Community Trust

Linkage Community Trust was honoured to be selected by the LAS Council to become Chosen Charity of the Year in 2025, especially as the prize included celebrating with us at the 140th Lincolnshire Show. Linkage is a registered charity that has been supporting people with learning disabilities and autism for nearly 50 years. Their services span specialist education, high-quality care, day services, employability support and sensory outreach across Greater Lincolnshire and Yorkshire. Their mission is to empower individuals to live independent, fulfilling lives through person-centred support and opportunities.

Debbie Bullen, Public Relations Communications Manager from Linkage Community Trust, said:

“We were truly honoured to be chosen as the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society’s Chosen Charity of the Year, especially being able to celebrate their 140th Show. The support and recognition we received has made a meaningful difference to the people we support, and we are incredibly grateful to LAS for their generosity and commitment to our cause here at Linkage Community Trust.”

A Year of Opportunity

The selected charity for 2026 will receive a wide range of benefits designed to boost awareness, engagement and community support, including:

Free Trade Stand (if applicable) at all LAS events, including the iconic Lincolnshire Show, Countryside Lincs, Lincolnshire Food & Gift, Lincolnshire Business Showcase and Lincolnshire Farming Conference.

Community Presentation Opportunities to share your mission and work

Features in LAS Newsletters and E-shots, reaching thousands of subscribers

Advertising Exposure across LAS platforms and events

And much more…

This initiative aligns with LAS’s core mission: to advance education in food, farming and the countryside, while supporting the incredible work of local charities.

Andrew Buckley, Chair of the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society, said:

“Our Chosen Charity of the Year initiative reflects our deep commitment to supporting the Lincolnshire community. We’ve been part of this county’s fabric for over 155 years and this scheme allows us to shine a light on the incredible work being done by local charities.

“From the Lincolnshire Show, which welcomes over 60,000 visitors, to our year-round events, we offer a powerful platform to help charities connect with new audiences and grow their impact.”
