Sustainable wellness starts within the Spa at Laceby Manor

Premium products and spacious surroundings combine to redefine luxury at a new, purpose-built venue set within the tranquillity of the sprawling Lincolnshire Wolds. The facility, led by Spa Director Belinda Belli, prioritises private space and sustainability, resulting in a unique, holistic wellness experience.

Providing indulgent experiences that revive guests while preserving the planet has already attracted support for The Spa at Laceby Manor from leading product houses 111Skin and VOYA. Newcomer tRiBe517 also features on the treatment list, which includes a range of massages, facials, scrubs, wraps, cryo treatments and non-surgical facelifts.

Guests can choose to enjoy individual treatments or one of several spa packages, which include overnight accommodation in new, bespoke accommodation. All spa rooms feature private decking with outdoor bathtubs overlooking a stunning natural lake – created when gravel from the site was harvested to create a runway for the Dambusters during World War II.

Visitors preferring a more active recharge can make use of the on-site gym with personal fitness instructor or enjoy a round of golf on the 18-hole course, while those seeking indulgence can choose from a range of indoor and outdoor food and beverage options.

The team’s vision to give their visitors space has been achieved by placing purpose over profit.

“A perfect example of this is our couchettes,” said Spa Director, Belinda Belli. “While many spas would have used this space for additional treatment rooms, we believed it was more important to provide private post-treatment spaces. The couchettes enable guests to relax alone, or with a partner if preferred, to maximise the benefits of their treatment, free from interruption by other guests.

“Creating a purpose-built spa over the past two years has presented unique challenges, but we’ve embraced them as opportunities to design a wellness facility that truly delivers what people need. We’ve questioned changing consumer demands and reflected on our core values, prioritising space, sustainability and the opportunity for people to reconnect with themselves.”

The facility includes seven treatment rooms – one of which is a double/couple’s treatment room – Finnish sauna, herbal sauna, steam room, rasul, indoor-outdoor vitality pool and a natural swimming pond for wild swimming and cold water therapy, which is filled using an innovative rainwater harvesting and filtration system. Visitors can also enjoy a couple’s bathing room with private Japanese-inspired garden.

Throughout the rest of the venue, the design influences are from closer to home and bring together the interior architecture of Curveline Design’s Mark Green and exterior architecture of Keir Architecture. Their work is complemented by the interior design skills of Alex Burnett.

The Spa at Laceby Manor is one of the first venues to feature the new collaboration between Vitra and Tom Dixon in its bathrooms. British designer Tom Dixon’s products, including lighting, also feature in other areas of the spa.

Larch-clad exteriors are home to custom-designed furnishings from high-end Scandinavian design classics such as Menu, Carl Hansen, Skagerak, Muuto & HAY, which combine with Italian and Spanish influences from B&B Italia, Pedrali, Santa & Cole, Bover and Vibia to provide a sleek yet luxurious aesthetic.

Attention to detail can be seen throughout many finishing touches, such as Ecoknit robes which provide a touch of luxury, while reducing the environmental footprint through fast drying times and washing efficiency.

Spa Director, Belinda Belli:

“We believe that sustainable wellness starts within The Spa at Laceby Manor and have embodied that throughout our offering; from sustainable, premium brands including 111Skin and VOYA, to a working environment that encourages staff wellbeing and the highest standards of customer care. We’re redefining the concept of luxury within the spa industry, replacing grandiosity with understated elegance and focusing on exceptional care and comfort over formality and opulence.

“As our guests face the ever more overwhelming demands of modern life; we provide space to breathe and time to heal in beautiful surroundings, supported by food, refreshments and products that are both indulgent and nourishing. We offer more than simply a place to recharge and restore, we provide guests with the opportunity to re-prioritise and restart their personal wellness journey.”

The Spa at Laceby Manor is a year-round facility that will be open 364 days a year. Sign up at Spa — Laceby Manor to find out more.
