|Grimsby’s Top Town Market is hosting its third Teenage Market next month.|
|The hugely popular national market initiative will return to the area on Saturday 13 July between 10am and 3pm.
Teenage Markets give young people aged between 13 and 29 an opportunity to showcase their creative and entrepreneurial talents and test their business skills.
Building on the success of the previous events, the upcoming market will expand from the Market Hall at Top Town Market into the Bull Ring and include a performance and relaxation zone in St James Square.
Grimsby Minster and Our Big Picture are also supporting the Market with music and dance performances taking place during the day.
North East Lincolnshire Council’s portfolio holder for regeneration and skills, Councillor John Fenty, said: “These teenage markets are an excellent chance for young entrepreneurs to test their ideas and get a feel for establishing their own business.
“Markets are a great starting block for building a business and we’re thrilled that this national initiative is proving to be popular in our area. It sends the right message to other businesses and those considering starting a business about the commercial opportunities to be had here.”
Linda Bulbeck, Markets Manager at ENGIE, said: “This is the third teenage market we have held in Grimsby and it continues to go from strength to strength. We’re expecting this one to be the best yet with a number of local performers and traders already signed up.
“We still have spaces available so if you want to try out market trading or would like a public space to perform in, we would be pleased to hear from you.
“The day promises to be fun for all the family so be sure to pay the Teenage Market a visit on Saturday 13 July and see what our young and talented individuals have to offer.”
