Work has finished on 10 new two-bedroom homes in the centre of Spalding.
The properties on Parkhurst Close, now available on the open market for rent, were delivered by Welland Homes – a company solely owned by South Holland District Council.
Official handover from local builders D. Brown Ltd happened last month with Spalding-based Ark Property Centre acting as letting agent.
Formed in 2015, Welland Homes was set up to support the council’s commitment to increasing the supply of new homes in the district and meeting the demands and needs of a growing population. Any surplus income Welland Homes generates is used to support the delivery of council services.
A spokesperson for Welland Homes Board said: “We are delighted that Welland Homes has delivered this new development which will provide residents with energy-efficient homes in a prime location, owned and maintained by a responsible landlord.”
The new development is named in honour of political activist and suffragette movement leader Emmeline Pankhurst.
