Anglian Water have responded to a burst water main on Grimsby Road, Humberston, outside the Pear Tree, near Wilton Road this afternoon.

Although a traffic contra flow system would have been preferable, it was not achievable at this location due to the pedestrian refuge island. Two-way signals were in place whilst investigation works were completed. The council had requested that the signals were under manual control and if three-way lights are possible to include Wilton Road. The carriage way is now clear and the traffic management company will be picking up signals shortly.

Once investigation works are finalised, Anglian Water can complete the repairs without the need of traffic management, and this should be done by Wednesday 11 June.

For more information on the works, please contact Anglian Water Operations team on 03457 145 45.
