Oh yes they will… The panto cast from the Wizard of Oz will be switching on the Christmas tree lights to kick off the festive season in Cleethorpes tomorrow (Friday November 29).

The Christmas tree has been sponsored by Parkway Cinemas Ltd and you’ll be able to meet characters from the cinema’s forthcoming panto. The switch on will take place outside St Peter’s Church at approximately 6.15pm, but events kick off earlier.

From 4pm, you’ll be able to browse the Evening Christmas Makers Market in the church hall, organised by Original Emporium Cleethorpes. Open until 8pm, it features local makers and artists.

Some of the amazing independent businesses will stay open late for the event so come along and support them.

There will also be some fantastic live entertainment with stilt walkers, street entertainers and several elves! The RNLI will be coming along too.

Part of St Peter’s Avenue, between Albert Road and Mill Road, will be closed from 4-8pm to enable the switch on to take place.
