The Gardens invite the public to an evening of crafting, laughter and seasonal cheer in the  Patio Room, creating a handmade 16-inch wreath to take home. No experience needed.

The countdown to Christmas is on, and Springfields Gardens is delighted to announce a new  Festive Wreath Making Workshop, the perfect way to kick off the festive season. Taking  place on Thursday 26th November in the Patio Room, the evening will be led by Garden  Curator and Plant Specialist Andy Boyton.

Over two fun-filled hours, participants will create a beautiful, naturalistic Christmas wreath,  measuring a generous 16 inches, to take home and hang on the door. Andy will guide guests  through every step, from building the base to adding the finishing touches, sharing his expert

tips for a full, natural-looking wreath. Whether guests prefer a rustic, woodland feel or  something a little more elegant, the design is entirely their own.

“There’s nothing quite like walking through your front door and seeing a wreath you’ve made  yourself,” said Andy Boyton. “This workshop is all about having fun and getting creative,  and you don’t need any experience to join in. I’ll be on hand to share my tips every step of  the way, and by the end of the evening everyone will leave with a wreath they can be proud  of.”

The workshop has been designed to suit every kind of festive celebration. Guests can bring a  friend for a festive night out, gather a group of colleagues, family or favourite people for a  pre-Christmas get-together, or come along on their own and join a room full of friendly faces.

Marion Durose, CEO of Springfields Horticultural Society, said the workshop captures the  spirit of the season. “Our workshops are a wonderful way for people to connect with nature,  learn new skills and spend time together,” she said. “With Andy’s expertise and the warm  atmosphere of the Patio Room, this promises to be a memorable start to Christmas.”

The bar will be open throughout the evening, so guests can relax with a drink while they  craft. Drinks are available to purchase on the night.
