Thank you for your views on the future of Immingham. Now is your chance to help refine the themes that have emerged through this year’s public engagement to shape the new Immingham Town Plan.

Please visit Immingham Civic Centre, Pelham Road, for our Community Ideas Day on Friday October 24 from 12 noon until 6pm.

We have been engaging with you for the last six months through our online survey, focus groups, and school and community events to find out how people of all ages see the town and how it can be improved in the future.

This latest ‘ideas’ event comes on the back of the recent announcement of £20-million of Government funding for Habrough and Immingham over the next decade, which will support North East Lincolnshire Council’s ambition to build a stronger economy and stronger communities.

The Government has announced that 264 neighbourhoods will receive a share of £5-billion, which will be invested across the UK to give ‘local people the power to transform their hometowns’ as part of its new ‘Pride in Place Programme’.

Immingham Town Council is being supported by partner organisations throughout the region, including North East Lincolnshire Council, to design a brand new Immingham Town Plan.

You have told us that you love the community spirit of Immingham, but the emerging themes for improvement from the initial public consultation centre around:

  • Shops, cafes and restaurants
  • Parks and open spaces
  • Places/activities for young people
  • Banking and local amenities
  • Anti-social behaviour and policing
  • The Town Council’s relationship with the community.

Further topics affecting the area are also available for discussion and for people to give their views and share new ideas.

Come along to this ‘ideas’ event and tell us how you would like to see funding spent to make a long-lasting and positive impact on the future of Immingham. It will take place in the Civic Centre, and the room will be set out in themes so that visitors can easily give their views on areas they are passionate about.

Andy Hopkins, Immingham Town Clerk, said “The Pride in Place funding is a fantastic opportunity for our Town. It is really important that people give us their ideas. Our community will have a say on how the money is spent so please come along and have your say.”

If you cannot attend you can still give us your ideas via this link: https://tell-us.questionpro.eu/ImminghamIdeas
