South Holland District Council has announced it is bringing a Housing Advice and Support Hub event to Holbeach next month to give residents free professional advice and support with a range of different housing issues.

Running from 10:30am till 12:30pm on Tuesday 18 June, the free event will see members of the Council's Housing Options team on hand to give expert opinions, alongside partners who attended the previous event in Spalding in March of this year, these include: Department for Work & Pensions, Lincolnshire County Council, Citizens Advice, Tonic Health and more.

To support a wider range of residents the Council has made the event bigger and better by inviting additional partners such as:

The Housing Advice and Support Hubs are part of a wider initiative created to help residents who may be struggling with their mental health, their finances, with their landlords, be under threat of homelessness or suffering from domestic abuse.

Through these Hubs, the Council hopes to spread awareness of the free help, support and advice that is available for people and give access to vital resources and organisations that aim to help individuals in the District.

Councillor Tracey Carter, Portfolio Holder for Strategic and Operational Housing who will be in attendance at the event, said: “As a Council, we’re aiming to build on the success of our last event, it’s crucial we continue to reach out to residents who are experiencing challenges with their housing needs.

“I’d like to encourage as many people to come along as possible, tell your friends and family members to help us get the word out. A huge amount of work goes in to planning these events and they can be a great source of support for those who are struggling in our community.”
