Boston Borough Council will be helping residents beat the winter worries with a host of in-person support available at a drop-in event.

The Beat your Winter Worries clinic is taking place at Centenary Methodist Church in Boston on Wednesday 26th November from 10am-2pm, coinciding with National Fuel Poverty Awareness Day.

The Council’s Home Energy Advice and Retrofit team will be on hand to help residents improve their home energy efficiency, give advice and tips on staying warm this winter, help with heating systems, managing and reducing utility bills and much more.

They can also help with information about grants or funding available to help you live more comfortably in your home.

Partners are also supporting the drop-in event to support even more people in the borough.

Organisations attending include:

Councillor Claire Rylott, Portfolio Holder for Green Spaces and Travel at Boston Borough Council, said: "The Beat the Winter Worries event is a great opportunity, bringing partners together to provide advice and support to people in the run up to the winter months.

“Please do take up the opportunity for yourself or a family member you think would benefit from our advice as well as help from all the partner organisations that will be attending.

"With the temperatures falling and energy prices continuing to cause a strain to many, this could be the start of changing things to ensure you are warmer in your own home and taking measures to reduce your bills.

“I would also like to thank the partners who are also attending, making this a really informative and invaluable event not to miss.

"If you or a loved one are worried about the coming winter months, please consider taking advantage of the help and advice available.”

The Home Energy Advice and Retrofit Team (HEART) support residents who may otherwise struggle to access help and advice through in-person support on their doorsteps to help tackle fuel poverty, live more comfortably in their homes and save money on their energy bills.

If you are unable to attend the event but would still like to speak with the team or any of the partners, email heart@e-lindsey.gov.uk or call 01205 314226.
