Revesby Country Fair saw a surge in ticket sales as a result of the Great British Summer Savings scheme

Organisers of a much-loved Lincolnshire event, Revesby County Fair, have spoken of the benefits of the Great British Summer Savings scheme, after a hugely successful 2026 event.

The show returned on Sunday 2nd August, welcoming thousands of visitors for a day packed full of entertainment, activities and events, with many families across Lincolnshire taking advantage of reduced ticket prices.

After the Government announcement that VAT would be temporarily cut on eligible activities throughout the summer, advanced family tickets to Revesby Country Fair were reduced from £40 to £35.

Organisers have now praised the Great British Summer Savings scheme after it led to a surge in ticket sales - with 97% of advanced family tickets sold after the reduction in price.

John Roe, Chairman of Revesby Country Fair, said:

“The Great British Summer Savings scheme has been a great benefit to Revesby Country Fair. It allowed us to reduce the price of our family tickets, giving people the chance to come and enjoy a day out with the family for less.

“After we announced the price reduction, we saw a definite spike in advanced sales of family tickets, showing that it really is making a difference to the affordability of days out for families across Lincolnshire.”

The event saw a record number of trade applications for this year’s show, with 220 businesses in attendance - selling everything from sweets and ice cream to tractors and garden furniture. Many of these were local Revesby-based businesses including Daise’s Kitchen, which is run by Daise Rodrigues and offers Brazilian and Portuguese treats.

Speaking of the show, Daise said:

“We had a great time. We’ve recently moved to Revesby and supporting local events and businesses is very important for us and for the community. The show was everything we expected and we had very good feedback from customers - we’ll definitely be back next year.”

The 2026 show was full of memorable moments including jaw-dropping jousting displays, hands-on activities, live music, competitions and some of the best food and drink Lincolnshire has to offer.

Planning is now underway for next year’s show, which will take place on Sunday 1st August 2027, promising even more fun and excitement for the whole family.
