The much-loved event is back on Sunday 19th April to showcase Lincolnshire food, farming and the countryside

Countryside Lincs, the Lincolnshire Showground’s favourite family event, will return for the 10th time this spring, bringing an exciting and action-packed day for all the family.

Taking place on Sunday 19th April, the event boasts a packed programme of interactive activities and live demonstrations, including tractor and trailer rides, animal handling and circus skills.

Hosted by the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society (LAS) - a registered charity which aims to educate the local community about food, farming and the countryside - the event is designed to inspire learning for all ages, educating families about Lincolnshire’s rich farming heritage.

Brand new for 2026 is the Polo Display, which will also appear at this year’s Lincolnshire Show on 17th and 18th June, offering families the chance to experience this fast-paced and exciting sport up close.

Adding to the excitement, a high-energy BMX show is set to thrill crowds, while the much-loved Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) returns, showcasing the work of the Cleethorpes and Grimsby RDA and the positive impact horse riding can have on people of all abilities.

Animal lovers will have the chance to meet rare breed animals and learn about the importance of protecting Britain’s agricultural heritage with the Rare Breeds Survival Trust (RBST), and young visitors can also get hands-on by taking part in the pig walking experience with the Junior Pig Clubs.

For those looking to get creative, the EPIC and EXO Centres will hold a range of workshops and craft sessions, offering an engaging and educational experience for the whole family. Visitors can also marvel at fantastic flower displays from The National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies (NAFAS) as they exhibit their floral arts competition.

Rosie Crust, Head of Charity at the Lincolnshire Showground, said:

“We can’t wait to welcome everyone to Countryside Lincs this April, which is set to be bigger and better than ever with both new attractions and returning favourites.

“As with all our LAS Education Programme events, learning sits at the heart of Countryside Lincs. The event is all about inspiring the next generation and celebrating the best of our county, helping children understand where their food comes from, the role of farming in everyday life and the importance of the countryside.

“With dozens of indoor and outdoor activities to get involved with, there’s something for everyone, whatever the weather, so we hope you’ll join us for a memorable, fun family day out.”
