The Bradbury Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of its second round of grant funding, supporting four inspiring projects that will benefit communities across Lincolnshire and the East Riding. Building on the success of its first round earlier this year, the Foundation continues to fulfil its aim of supporting local initiatives that provide meaningful benefits to those they serve.

Trustee Philip George said, “It’s fantastic to be able to support another round of brilliant projects. We are still a young charity with limited funds, but thanks to the generosity of those supporting our events, we can continue to make a difference. The four projects we’re supporting this time reflect the range of work being done across our region to bring people together, raise aspirations and support those facing challenges.”

Among the organisations receiving support is West Marsh Development Trust. The Trust, which runs the West Marsh Community Centre in Grimsby, is using its grant to provide supervised access to its Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) and surrounding green space. This initiative will encourage physical activity, community interaction and positive social engagement for children and young people, especially through the addition of new cricket sessions alongside existing football training.

Also receiving support is Run With It, an organisation that delivers creative, real-world learning experiences to children and young people. Their project will offer young people in North Lincolnshire a chance to improve their maths and English skills by applying them in settings such as football stadiums, airports and hotels. The Foundation’s grant will help expand access to these sessions, which also focus on life skills, confidence and raising aspirations in areas of high need.

The Culture House CIO, a well-established arts charity based in Grimsby, is also being supported. The grant will help them to deliver a diverse and engaging programme of festivals, outdoor events and arts activities during the summer that bring people together and celebrate local talent in the areas fantastic public spaces. Their work focuses on making the arts accessible to all and strengthening community connections through creativity.

The fourth grant has been awarded to Linkage Community Trust towards the development of a purpose-built Small Animal Care Centre at its Grimsby campus. This new facility will replace their existing temporary site, offering an enhanced learning environment for students with learning disabilities and/or autism. The new centre will expand the number of students able to access animal care training and provide accessible, modern facilities to support them into meaningful employment.

Philip added, “Every project we support has a lasting effect on the people it reaches. We’re incredibly proud to be working alongside these charities and hope to continue funding many more in the future. If you’re a business or individual who’d like to support our work, we’d love to hear from you.”

Applications for future grants are now open. To find out more about applying for support or contributing to the Foundation, visit www.thebradburyfoundation.org or email hello@thebradburyfoundation.org.
