Mindless vandalism.

That’s what Cabinet member for tourism, Cllr Hayden Dawkins, said about reports of vandalism at the temporary toilets in Cleethorpes this weekend.

Over the weekend, one of the toilet cubicles was set fire and more damage was done to a further cubicle.

The cost to replace these is nearly £2000.

“This is absolutely mindless vandalism. What have people got to gain by setting a toilet on fire? This has been reported to the police and we are working with the temp toilet providers to get the site cleared up and facilities restored.

“If anyone knows anything about the incident, please call the police on 101, referencing crime number 25000085377.”
