South Holland District Council is pleased to announce additional funding to support local community groups that are open or have recently opened as a Warm Space this winter.

The Council is in the process of making a £500 one-off contribution available to support Warm Spaces that have signed up to the district’s Warm Spaces directory and are open on a weekly basis. Those signed up but open less than once a week will be eligible to apply for a one-off contribution of £250.

The following groups are eligible for funding:

Eligible groups that have signed up have been contacted, and payments are being processed.

Cllr Gary Taylor, Portfolio Holder for Communities, said: “We are delighted our teams have been able to secure this funding to help our community. This winter can be challenging for many of our residents, with some facing difficult financial decisions. The increase in cost of living has made it even more difficult, and I urge residents to visit our Warm Spaces. Not only will they receive a warm welcome, but also a warm space and a warm drink.”
