Fancy a workout after your chippy tea or ice cream?

Then you will love the new gym coming to the Pier Gardens development. With 10 different workout stations there is plenty to do when you’re visiting the resort.

Centred on Calisthenics, otherwise known as strength training, the structure focuses on people using their body weight as a form of resistance when carrying out their exercise.

Without the need for expensive or specialist equipment, this accessible gym is something that can be used by anyone and everyone. From pull ups to press ups, there are a range of exercises for all abilities.

Alongside other elements of the scheme like skate parks and wooden play structures, the new look Pier Gardens will be a space for people of all ages to play and enjoy.

Aside from a space to play, a major part of the regeneration involves the ‘CLEETHORPES’ letter trail. As part of the plans, Hemingway Designs have created a concept of sculptures spelling out Cleethorpes, with each letter being placed around the gardens themselves so that people can explore and interact with the area.

The scheme began work earlier this year and is due to be completed in mid 2027. Funded through the Cleethorpes Levelling Up Fund (LUF), the wide scale regeneration aims to provide a new area for visitors and residents to relax, enjoy and use however they see fit.

With the addition of the gym and wider elements, the space is set to become an integral part of the seaside resort which will be enjoyed by many for years to come.
