Waste collection and the tips

Grimsby and Immingham Community Recycling Centres (the tips) are open every day (except Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day) from 8am to 6pm, and 8am to 4pm on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
Family Hubs
West Marsh, Queensway and Central Hubs will close from Friday 20th December and reopen on Monday 6th January 2025.
The Hubs at Immingham, East Marsh, Reynolds and Nunsthorpe will remain open as normal over the festive period, closing Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.
All Family Hubs are closed during the weekend as usual.
If you need support or have any worries on days of closure, please call or visit any of the open hubs. You can find their details at www.nelincs.gov.uk/family-hubs.
Registration Services

Bereavement services
Crematorium
Cemeteries
We know many people like to place flowers and wreaths within our cemeteries and crematorium grounds to remember family and friends that are no longer with us. Throughout the year, our bereavement service and grounds team regularly remove flowers that are past their best.
For wreaths and flowers placed over the Christmas period, this will happen from Monday, 27th January. If families want to keep wreaths and mementos, we advise you to come back to the cemetery or crematorium before January 27th to retrieve them, preventing them being removed by our team.
Reflections Tea Room is open 9am to 3pm every day across the festive period, other than the bank holidays.
Phone ‘n’ Ride
To make a booking over the phone, call 01472 324440 or download the mobile app on your usual store (‘Phone’n’Ride’).
Homelessness Prevention Services
If you are struggling with your housing situation or spot a rough sleeper over the Christmas Holidays, the Home Options Team are available at all hours, every day, on 01472 326296 (option 1). Harbour Place is open as usual except the bank holidays.
