Waltham Windmill has undergone a major restoration programme to bring it back to milling condition. The sails and cap came off for repair on 28th August 2024. The removal of the sails and cap revealed the need for further work. The Windmill Trust secured two grants from Historic England towards the estimated £160,000. The work is now nearing completion.

The plan is, weather permitting, to put the sails back up on Tuesday and Wednesday the 3rd and 4th March 2026. The mill will then return to becoming a working windmill producing Waltham Windmill flour.
