Corporation Road Bridge Update: Footway closures and weekend working in May 2025

To take advantage of anticipated low tide levels, weekend working will continue to take place in May.

The South footway is now closed for the remaining duration of the works.

Footway closures are also required to the North footway whilst works are taking place adjacent to public areas to ensure the safety of both the public and the workers on site.

To help complete remaining sections of the works, the footway may be closed for 1 or 2 days a week if conditions allow.

Footway closures will take place between 9am and 4pm each weekday as detailed below. The footway will remain open during the weekend working dates. Temporary signs will be in place for the footway closures.

Paving works will also commence in May and there will be no direct access from the Riverside walkway onto Corporation bridge.

As Corporation Road Bridge is a construction site, it is important that the public respect the access restrictions in place, which have been introduced for safety reasons. Members of the public are reminded to please stay outside of all encapsulated and other working areas for their own safety, as well as that of those working there.
