Works to Grade II listed structure, Corporation Road Bridge, have been progressing.

Final underdeck repair works continue to Spans 1- 4 and further design works have been progressing to lifting section of Span 4.

Painting works continue to Spans 1 and 2 and 3 and these works are nearing completion. Final painting has been completed on the North trusses of Spans 5 and 6 as well as to the counterweight area. With most sections of the bridge having undergone full painting works and sections of scaffolding soon to be removed, it is easy to imagine how impressive the restored structure will be once reopened.

To take advantage of anticipated low tide levels, weekend working is required. Footpath closures are also required whilst works are taking place adjacent to public areas to ensure the safety of both the public and the contractor.

Footpath closures will take place between 9am and 4pm each weekday. The footway will remain open during the weekend working dates. Temporary signs will be in place for the footway closures.

North East Lincolnshire Council, its delivery partner, Equans and contractor, Spencer Group, would like to thank the public for their patience whilst the work is being undertaken.

As Corporation Road Bridge is a construction site, it is important that the public respect the access restrictions in place, which have been introduced for safety reasons.  Members of the public are reminded to please stay outside of all encapsulated and other working areas for their own safety, as well as that of those working there.
