Works to Grade II listed structure, Corporation Road Bridge, have been progressing.

Recent activities have seen the control room roofing works and steelwork repairs completed. Parts of the scaffolding and encapsulation have been removed from this area and scaffolding has been relocated to other underdeck spans in accordance with marine management requirements. Repair works to these spans is to be assessed.

New areas of the structure are currently being grit blasted and base coat painting has commenced.

To take advantage of anticipated low tide levels, weekend working will take place next month. Footway closures are also required whilst works are taking place adjacent to public areas to ensure the safety of both the public and the workers on site.

Footway closures will take place between 9am and 4pm each weekday. The footway will remain open during the weekend working dates. Temporary signs will be in place for the footway closures.

January 2025 weekend working and footway closure dates:

South Footway Closures

  • Wednesday 8 January

  • Wednesday 15 January

  • Wednesday 22 January

  • Wednesday 29 January

  • Saturday 25 January and Sunday 26 January

North East Lincolnshire Council, its delivery partner, Equans, and contractor, Spencer Group, would like to thank the public for their patience whilst the work is being undertaken.

As Corporation Road Bridge is a construction site, it is important that the public respect the access restrictions in place, which have been introduced for safety reasons.  Members of the public are reminded to please stay outside of all encapsulated and other working areas for their own safety, as well as that of those working there.
