In 2024, dedicated Grimsby charity Cudox Wellbeing helped over 900 individuals through rapid, long-term therapy, creative art therapy groups and workplace wellbeing sessions.

Founded by Angie Graham, the charity supports mental health and wellbeing and their person-centred, flexible approach ensures accessible mental health support, making a significant impact on the community and filling critical gaps in local mental health services.

It is this support that won Cudox Wellbeing CIC the North East Lincolnshire Civic Award for Charity/Volunteer of the Year 2025. Nominations are now open for the Civic Awards 2026 and we are looking for nominations for both awards.

This year, to ensure fairness for all nominees, we’ve introduced separate categories that better represent the outstanding contributions of volunteers in North East Lincolnshire and those working for charities in the area. This approach helps ensure that no group feels overlooked during the nomination or award process.

Our Volunteer of the Year Award is for someone who has demonstrated exceptional commitment and dedication to volunteer work and made a significant impact on the community through their volunteer efforts. They have exhibited leadership and inspired others to engage in volunteer activities.

Our Charity of the Year Award must have achieved outstanding results in fundraising and community support, demonstrated innovative approaches to addressing community needs, maintained transparency and accountability in operations, and must be registered with the Charity Commission.

If you know someone who fits these criteria then nominate them now for a Civic Award 2026.

You can nominate for each category online via North East Lincolnshire Council’s website. https://www.nelincs.gov.uk/your-council/mayor-and-civic-information/

If you need a paper form, please contact the Civic Office by calling 01472) 324101 or sending an e-mail to civic.office@nelincs.gov.uk

Nominations can be made until 5pm on Friday January 31st 2026.  If you submit electronically, they will be received automatically.  Alternatively, you can send via e-mail to civic.office@nelincs.gov.uk.

Full terms and conditions can be found here https://www.nelincs.gov.uk/your-council/mayor-and-civic-information/
