The winter weather may have set in, but avid cyclists in our area still have a reason to get on their bikes this Christmas.
A winter cycling challenge, organised by Love to Ride and supported by the Council and ENGIE, launched on Saturday 1 December, aimed at encouraging cyclists to hop on their bikes during the colder and darker months.
Between Saturday 1 December and Tuesday 25 December a daily prize draw is taking place for all cyclists who log a ride at www.lovetoride.net/nelincs.
Prizes up for grabs include safety clothing and equipment plus vouchers to spend in local cycling shops.
It’s not too late to join in – simply make a journey on your bicycle and log it online before Christmas day.
Rides can be logged directly at www.lovetoride.net/nelincs or automatically uploaded via popular cycling apps which can link to Love to Ride.
Riders should be aware of the weather conditions at all times, and avoid venturing out in adverse conditions.
