A brand new free festival aimed at young people is coming to Holbeach later this month, filled with live music performances, activities, games and food.
Shuffle, organised by South Holland District Council, will run from 11am – 3pm on Friday 16 August at Carters Park in Holbeach. It is free to attend and will contain a range of activities and entertainment designed for young people aged 11-24.
Activities on offer during the festival will include live music, DJs, bucking rodeo camel, sumo wrestling suits, festival face art, boxing and self-defence, human size foosball table, food vans, 10 pin bowling and much more.
There are also a number of great prizes up for grabs on the day generously sponsored by Manor Fresh, Milkshake Madness and Worldwide Fruit, as well as health, wellbeing and community safety information, advice and support on offer from local organisations.
Cllr Gary Taylor, South Holland District Council portfolio holder for communities and facilities, said: “When you’re searching for things to do over the summer you will often see a variety of activities and events available for children of primary school age and younger to take part in, while those at secondary school, college and beyond have far fewer free, local and active opportunities available.
We hope that Shuffle will be a brilliant chance for young people to get together to enjoy these new activities and experiences together, and we look forward to seeing a great turnout joining us at Carters Park to continue our fantastic summer of community activities.”
