Eight evenings of Christmas delights within the medieval walls of Lincoln Castle for a festive celebration of arts, crafts, and food – the perfect setting to meet friends and family over the Christmas period.
A spectacular Victorian inspired Light Show will form the centre of the Christmas Emporium with an extraordinary illumination and soundtrack filling each evening with a sprinkling of Christmas magic.
Alongside the light shows will be Christmas stalls offering unique arts, crafts, gifts and locally sourced food and drink including a cosy tipi bar and quality street food vendors.
The medieval wall walk will remain open each evening for truly spectacular evening views over the City.
Plus Father Christmas will be in attendance looking forward to receiving your Christmas wishes in a twilight experience designed to entertain visitors of all ages.
Built by William the Conqueror in 1068, Lincoln Castle has dominated the Lincoln skyline for almost one thousand years. During your visit you can walk the Medieval Walls for stunning views of Lincoln Cathedral and across the city; an audio tour will guide you through the castle’s history.
Inside the Castle walls is the Victorian prison giving an insight into crime and punishment in the Lincoln of the past. Inside the prison you will find the subterranean Magna Carta vault, housing one of only four surviving original copies of Magna Carta, and a small cinema screen to tell you its important story.
Tickets for the Christmas Emporium can be booked on the Lincoln Castle website. They are valid for all eight evenings, allowing you to visit as many times as you like:
- Adults £7.50;
- Concessions: £6.50;
- Children (aged 5-16): £5;
- Under 5s: free;
- Family (2 adults, up to 3 children): £20;
- Annual Pass holders: free.
