Home From Home Care has made the final shortlist for one of the UK’s most prestigious employment awards.
The organisation, which supports adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex physical and mental health, has been announced as a finalist for the Employer of the Year: Platinum Award in the Investors in People Awards 2021.
Home From Home Care operates eleven care homes across Greater Lincolnshire, nine of which have been rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The organisation, which employs more than 400 people, has been praised for its efforts to ensure caring is a career in which people can grow, develop their skills and make a real difference to people’s lives.
Nearly 300 organisations entered the Investors in People Awards 2021, making this a record-breaking year for entries and an even greater achievement for Home From Home Care. The Employer of the Year: Platinum Award category can only be entered by organisations, like Home From Home Care, which have been given the highest rating possible following an assessment by Investors in People.
Managing Director and founder of Home From Home Care, Paul de Savary said:
“There may be a recruitment crisis in the care sector, but we’ve always done things differently to other providers and that’s particularly apparent in the way we treat our team members. We make sure all our people are well paid and well looked after, with amazing opportunities for personal development and career progression. We have a culture in which we all help one another and we share the load between us with the aid of high tech, data driven systems.
“We welcome people from any background, training team members and investing in them so that caring can be a career that’s rewarding, respected and valued, and where people can truly make a difference to the lives of others.
“It’s a real honour to be named as one of the very best employers in the country and it’s a clear indication of the talent, dedication and brilliance of our team at Home From Home Care.”
The Investors in People Awards celebrate the very best organisations and individuals from around the world across various organisational, people, wellbeing and leadership categories. Each year hundreds of organisations from the UK and abroad battle it out to take home one of the sought after trophies to show their award-winning commitment to investing in their people.
Paul Devoy, CEO of Investors in People, commented:
“Now in our 8th year, it always makes me feel immensely proud to see so many fantastic organisations staking their claim to be the best. And every year, the entries do get more and more competitive and the judging even tighter. Reaching the final shortlist is a testament to the amazing commitment these organisations are making to make work better for their people, and they truly deserve this recognition.”
