Residents at Eaton Court Care Home in Grimsby, Lincolnshire, have been enjoying hours of beach-themed fun and games whilst reminiscing about their favourite holidays and trips to the seaside.
Laughter filled the room as residents told stories about the car journeys when they sang their hearts out to their favourite songs. Everyone had a lovely time chatting about all the places that they have been to, some firm favourites amongst the group were Cleethorpes and Butlins.
The memories dated back as far as the 1960s and staff loved getting to know more about the resident’s younger days. It was great fun for everyone to look back and remember the good times with their loved ones. The seaside talk got everyone hungry, so they tucked into some yummy fish and chips to end the fun-filled day.
Anne Ruttle, Eaton Court Home Manager commented: “It’s was so lovely to see the residents smiling from ear-to-ear after all the challenges we have faced over this past year. I’m so proud of our staff team who always ensure our residents live a life that is enriched and purposeful.”
