East Lindsey District Council are bringing their Business Expo back once again this October.
The Expo, which returns for its third successive year, will be held at Skegness’ Embassy Theatre on October 16 and this year’s event promises to be bigger than ever.
For this year’s Expo East Lindsey District Council will be partnering with Business Lincolnshire, who will be delivering some specialist workshop, which businesses will be able to book onto soon. The 2019 Expo will also be taking place during Lincolnshire Business Week – a weeklong celebration of Greater Lincolnshire businesses hosted by Lincolnshire Echo and Lincolnshire Live.
The Expo is free to attend and open to everyone – with members of the public also invited to come and see some of the businesses that make up East Lindsey’s amazing business community, including some of the finalists from the 2019 East Lindsey Business Awards. Local schools are also invited to attend, giving students the chance to find out about the businesses that are based throughout the District.
Businesses wishing to attend can book a stand now and secure the chance to showcase their products and services. In addition to the workshops on offer, there’ll be a range of business support providers on hand to provide advice to attendees on a range of topics, including grant funding.
Portfolio Holder for Market Towns and Rural Economy, Councillor Adam Grist, said: “We want to celebrate our businesses and the Expo is one of the ways we want to recognise the important role they play in driving the District’s economy. We’ve seen some wonderful engagement from local businesses with the Business Awards this year, and hopefully the same will be true for the Expo and I’m sure it’ll be valuable to all those who attend.”
Portfolio Holder for Coastal Economy, Councillor Steve Kirk, added: “Our coast, and indeed the District as a whole, is home to a fantastic business community. The Expo gives those businesses the chance to come together, network and hopefully make some hugely beneficial relationships with businesses they might have otherwise not met.”
