If your child was born between 1 September 2008 and 31 August 2009, you will need to complete an application for secondary school.
Parents who do not submit an application before the 31 October deadline could risk your child missing out on a place at their preferred school.
To apply for a secondary school place, visit www.nelincs.gov.uk and search for the ‘Citizen Portal’ for school admissions.
Councillor Ian Lindley, portfolio holder for children and young people, said: “Education is essential for children as they learn and grow.
“We have written to every parent in the area with a child due to start secondary school next year, inviting them to apply for a secondary school place and let us know their preferred school.
“We want to be able to get every child in North East Lincolnshire with a place at a good school close to where they live, so it’s vital that parents submit their applications as early as possible to ensure we have the right information when it comes to allocating places.”
