DoubleTree by Hilton Lincoln are proud to announce The Electric Ball supporting the International Bombers Command Centre (IBCC) on 6th May 2017
Events such as the DoubleTree Charity Ball help the IBCC immensely by helping engage residents and local businesses in the project, raising funds and providing a platform to promote the work that is being done to protect and preserve the heritage of a unit that had the highest losses during WWII but received no recognition. This ball is an exciting way for the project to engage with a new audience and reconnect with old friends and supporters, all in a great setting.
Nicky Barr, Director, IBCC
Lincolnshire is known as Bomber County reflecting the fact that during WWII over a third of all operational Bomber stations were based in the county and nearly half of those men lost flew from the county. The IBCC will provide a world-class attraction telling, as it does, the personal stories of the time, from all sides. It is the only place in the world where the names of those 58,000 men and women who gave their lives in the service of the Command will be memorialised.
As a proud member of the Lincoln business community, we are delighted to be working with the IBCC on hosting what promises to be a great event raising the profile of a fantastic cause.

The Electric Ball is set to be a night of grandeur. This black tie event opens with a prosecco and canapé reception before entering DoubleTree by Hilton Lincoln’s grand Cathedral Ballroom for the charity auction hosted by JHWalter and a divine six course meal with half a bottle of wine. Live entertainment and music throughout the evening compliment the stylish surroundings and ensure guests are set for an evening to remember.
The IBCC Charity Ball we held in 2014 was a huge triumph, following the success we have created the new, exciting, and philanthropic, ‘Electric Ball’. We are expecting this to be the first of many and will go on to become an annual event. We would like to have the opportunity to work with a different chosen charity every year and what better way to kick off 2017 than by supporting the charity that started it all?
The DoubleTree by Hilton team have been working really hard on this event, making sure every single detail is perfect and we hope that everyone that joins us has a truly electrifying evening!
