Burgeoning architecture firm, LK2 Architects Ltd, has expanded its team with the addition of University of Lincoln graduate Lewis North. Lewis joins the firm as a Part II architectural assistant.

Lewis joins LK2 after achieving his Master of Architecture degree and has a wealth of experience following his studies. Over the course of his Part I degree, Lewis worked in Amsterdam as an architectural assistant where he learnt more about contemporary designs in the Netherlands.

Lewis said:

Upon completing my Part II degree, I recognised I wanted to remain in Lincolnshire to develop my career – Lincoln is a city full of opportunities, exciting challenges and offers a great way of life. I have always been ambitious and when I researched LK2, I knew it was the right choice for me, as it has an impressive portfolio of architectural developments across the country.

The LK2 team has welcomed me from the very beginning. In the future, I hope to complete my Part III to become a qualified architect.

While studying, Lewis has gained valuable experience working at a number of architecture firms and has also acted as a part-time associate lecturer at the University of Lincoln.
Andrew Kitchen, director at LK2, added:

We are delighted to welcome Lewis to our team and pleased he has chosen to further his career at LK2. We continue to develop and extend our growing portfolio over the course of the past year; having an up and coming architect like Lewis join us at this exciting time is fantastic.

LK2 has a varied skill set – working on a number of projects ranging from residential properties and office spaces to the development of town centres and large sports facilities. The firm has offices in Lincolnshire and London, and understands the combination of both urban and rural lifestyles.

Lewis added:

I cannot wait to get stuck into my new role at LK2, it has a fantastic portfolio which delivers tangible changes to local communities – which is something I am really passionate about.
