Saturday saw St. Marks and Lincolnshire Sport team up to host the final part of Lincolnshire Sport’s Challenge Macmillan campaign.
Throughout the day, staff for St. Marks and it’s stores as well as the Lincolnshire Sport team took part in a cycle challenge.
A grand total of 140km was cycled – the same distance as cycling to Skegness and back, raising a total of £300 for Macmillan Cancer Care.
Various retailers took part including staff from London Camera Exchange, Gap Outlet William Hill , Debenhams, Homebase , Multiyork, Trespass, Topps Tiles as well as Valerie Johnson, Centre Manager and Laura Shamsuzzaman, Centre Administrator.
Aaron Hall, Macmillan Physical Activity Practitioner commented:
The event was a great success with over 30 riders taking part from the local retailers and shoppers of St Marks. With this support, along with the great weather, we finished our campaign successfully and managed to promote the importance of regular physical activity among those living with and beyond cancer treatment.
Valerie Johnson, Centre Manager said:
We thoroughly enjoyed Saturday and would like to thank all shoppers who got involved and kindly donated!
The finale followed a series of challenges including charity Zumba, a five hour spinathon, canicross, boxercise and a 15k tough guy race.
