An exciting new indoor activity centre for children and families has now opened in Lincoln’s city centre, following a deal by leading property consultants Bruton Knowles.

Situated at Todson House on Beaumont Fee, Imagination Station is being run by Midlands Adventure Company owners Katherine and Luke Austin and includes children activities, luxury soft play areas and a café.

This is the first indoor venture for the Midlands Adventure Company, which currently provides numerous outdoor activities across the Midlands and the UK.

Associate at Bruton Knowles, Sam Spencer secured the lease at the former Big Wok restaurant, following a number of competitive enquiries from developers.

He said:

We are delighted to have brokered the deal with Katherine, Luke and the Midlands Adventure Company, helping them open their first indoor activity centre and bring a fantastic new addition to the city of Lincoln.

We had significant interest for the former restaurant from developers hoping to turn the building into residential apartments. However, due to keen demand to retain the current space, we were able to broker a deal with Midlands Adventure Company and keep the current premises as they are.

The location is perfect for the company. Within the city centre, the train station only minutes away and the A46 in close proximity, Midlands Adventure Company is bringing something different and exciting to Lincoln that no one has seen before.

We wish the owners the best of luck in their new venture and look forward to seeing their continued success as the business continues to grow.

The former restaurant which boosts 23,000 square feet, is only 150 feet away from the busy high street.

Having founded the business with her husband Luke just a year ago, Katherine knew the location was important in helping the business to expand significantly over the coming months.

She said:

The building instantly appealed to us due to its fantastic location and its quirky character and history. We have great plans to develop the company over the next 18 months and this will be the perfect stepping stone for allowing us to do so.

Working with Bruton Knowles has been great throughout the entire process with all our queries answered sufficiently when required.

This enabled us to plan everything effectively and on time, allowing us to open our doors this weekend to the public just in time for Easter and the school holidays.
