Relocation Agent Network Agent of the Year, Pygott & Crone, will be representing Lincolnshire for the eighteenth year in Cannes at Marche International des Professionals d‘Immobilier (MIPIM) 2016 in March.
The world’s biggest property event will take place in the south of France and will be attended by Pygott & Crone, along with a host of Lincolnshire’s most influential industry experts – making up ‘Team Lincolnshire’ as part of the Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership (GLLEP).
Tim Downing, senior partner at Pygott & Crone, is looking forward to showing the world what the region has to offer – promoting Lincolnshire as a destination to work, live and invest in. He said:
Pygott & Crone has invested in MIPIM for a whopping 18 years and we continue to see the value in our attendance.
We have supported the local authority for many years and this is the second year we are part of Team Lincolnshire as a main sponsor of the GLLEP. Team Lincolnshire is a public and private sector team working together to showcase the best of the county to an international audience during MIPIM.
The Palais des Festivals will host 25,000 key decision makers for four days’ worth of seminars, speeches and events. Through MIPIM we have brought new work into the county from as far away as Glasgow and Portsmouth, and further strengthened Pygott & Crone’s standing as a leading estate agency in the East Midlands.
Throughout MIPIM, we are able to cement existing relationships and make new strategic alliances with both private and public sector delegates, encouraging more work to come into the county and increasing the level of investment coming into the region.
Pygott & Crone will be holding a lunch event with London-based insurance firm, BLP, for 16 key developer and investor clients. The GLLEP will also be hosting a breakfast event where Tim is looking forward to informing attendees of the business value of investing in Lincolnshire.
Lincolnshire is the fastest expanding county with transport and communications improving year on year – with direct trains to London now reaching the capital in under two hours. It’s the ideal place to invest, work and live.
Property prices in Lincolnshire are also very attractive – comparatively, home ownership in the region is at a much more affordable level than in the south of the country. The average house price in Lincolnshire is just £135,000 whereas in London buyers can expect to fork out an average of £514,000.
Commercially, the market is also performing very well. Pygott & Crone is currently handling a very rare 20 acre site, close to Lincoln city centre, which has planning permission for commercial use and is a fantastic example of potential regeneration taking place in the city. A 70 unit apartment scheme on the Brayford is also in planning stages which will mean big things for the area.
We also have a 37 acre mixed use site near Grantham which will be coming to the market next month – with the option for commercial or residential use – and ideally located for Lincolnshire’s excellent transport links to the capital.
Pygott & Crone is a Lincolnshire-based business, working across the county from Grimsby to Holbeach, so we decided to continue to sponsor the GLLEP this year to continue promoting Lincolnshire, as well as Pygott & Crone, at MIPIM.
