Stuck for last-minute gift ideas? Then the brand new Lincolnshire Cook Book featuring The Elite Fish & Chip Company could be the perfect stocking filler.
Compiled by Meze Publishing, ‘The Lincolnshire Cook Book’ features Elite’s Rachel Tweedale, the Drywite Young Fish Frier of the Year 2015. Rachel has contributed a tasty fish platter dish that stands shoulder to shoulder with recipes from across the county.
Rachel hopes that the recipe will inspire people to try cooking their own fish and chips at home, before coming back to see how it compares to the company’s restaurants and takeaways in Lincoln, Ruskington and Sleaford.
When Meze asked us to be involved, we thought long and hard about what dish really sums up Elite. Fish and chips is of course such an iconic dish and you really can’t beat it cooked fresh, so we came up with a tasty alternative that we think is going to be a hit!
The dish combines haddock, cod and langoustine tails with Maris Piper potatoes to create a platter to be proud of. It appears alongside chefs from cafés and restaurants from around Lincolnshire, including The Original Cake Company, Doddington Hall, Welbourne’s Bakery and Winteringham Fields. The book is a perfect Christmas present for budding chefs, foodies and fans of dining out around the county as it delves into what makes each venue tick as well as looking behind the scenes through some stunning photography.
The book is available to buy from Elite restaurants for just £14.95.
