North Kesteven District Council will be bringing back their Riverside Discovery Trail this half term giving families the chance to discover Sleaford’s Riverside.
Back by popular demand! The Sleaford Riverside Discovery Trail is a fun activity for children of all ages, taking you down the riverside to discover the delights this beautiful area of Sleaford has to offer.
Today, the River Slea is a peaceful home to ducks and dragonflies, but over 150 years ago it was an important part of Sleaford life and the discovery trail will help you explore the town’s fascinating history.
The trail will lead you along the river, visiting Lollycocks Field, The Nettles, National Centre for Craft & Design, Cogglesford Watermill and Navigation House. Along the way you’ll be hunting for a time capsule, using old fashioned scales to solve a clue, counting butterflies and lots more!
The trail will be available from Sunday 10 May and right through the Summer Holidays and can be purchased from Navigation House in Navigation Wharf or Cogglesford Watermill off East Road for £1.50 per child. There’s a prize at the end too!
