A breathless romp through the centuries is promised when open air theatre returns to Belton House on Friday 25 July.
The acclaimed Pantaloons Theatre Company will present ‘The History of Britain’ like you’ve never quite seen it before!
History’s best known characters are presented with some hilarity while mud, blood and stiff upper lips feature throughout this delightfully inventive open air show. Harold II and William the Conqueror don’t see eye to eye, Henry VIII decides that five marriages are just not enough and Queen Victoria certainly isn’t amused.
Visitor Services Manager, Mary Kindred, said: “We’re delighted to welcome the Pantaloons back to Belton for the third year because our audiences love them. Their unique blend of wit, irrepressible humour, puppetry and audience participation make them a winning combination. This is definitely an evening not to be missed!”
Packed with songs, sketches and humour, this historically hysterical show is suitable for all ages. The performance starts at 7pm with gates open for picnics and a Belton barbeque from 5.30pm.
