This year’s main sponsors the Lincolnshire Cooperative are also looking forward to the event and will getting involved as much as possible. Member Engagement Manager at Lincolnshire Co-op, Richard Whittaker said; “We’re delighted to be supporting the Spires and Steeples Challenge again in 2014. It’s a fantastic event which takes in some of the most stunning scenery that Lincolnshire has to offer. We plan to have a team of our staff taking part this year to raise money for our Charity of the Year – Alzheimer’s Society and we hope that lots of local people will also take part.”
Event organisers are now also looking for volunteers to help out in the challenge. This can be being a marshal or handing out water at check points including other various opportunities; ‘volunteers are vital to the running of the challenge’, says marketing assistant, Faye Coulson. ‘So if you think you have some spare time and would like to help out, we’d love to hear from you’.
Volunteers are required in Lincoln, Washingborough, Branston, Metheringham, Digby, Ruskington, Leasingham Moor and Sleaford so if you are up for playing your part in this popular Lincolnshire event please contact Donna Lill on 01522 870273 or e-mail email@example.com to register your interest.
