RAF Lincolnshire: Past, Present and Future
In a very special tribute to Lincolnshire’s RAF connections, the city will be marking the 100th anniversary of the Royal Air Force in 2018 with a new art trail – 100 Voices.
A remarkable collection of 100 voices will share personal stories of both military and civilian connections to the RAF. The trail will encourage people to explore different parts of the city and countryside.
Working with the University of Lincoln and International Bomber Command Centre ‘100 voices’ is a collection personal accounts from across Lincolnshire. Each voice will be written on a wing, and the wings will be placed around the city and county.
The different colours represent past (green), present (red) and future (blue) stories. There will be a selection of walking and cycling tours.
The physical trail will be supported online by a digital map giving an overview of the eight different trails making up the full 100 Voices. Lincoln is the perfect base to explore your aviation story in 2018 with a year of world-class family-friendly events, exhibitions and trails.
