Cllr David Watson, portfolio holder for energy and environment at North East Lincolnshire Council said:
As we start to approach better weather and the days get longer, it is a great time to start riding to work.
Ride to Work week is a friendly competition ran every year between workplaces to try and get as many staff as possible riding to work.
Riding to work helps to reduce stress and is also a great form of exercise, burning fat and building muscle without straining your joints too much.
There are also some great prizes on offer as an extra incentive to get on your bike every day and ride to work.
Doctor Bike events are supported by the Grimsby Cycle Hub to give bikes a full safety check and any minor repairs they may need. The Transport Team will also be on hand to provide cycling information and route advice as well as safety packs and other giveaways.
For more information about Ride to Work week or to register you or your business visit www.lovetoride.net/nelincs and register your cycling trips on the site to be in with a chance of winning one of the prizes. Prize winners will be chosen at random from the recorded rides.
