The annual awards recognise and reward the people and businesses behind Lincolnshire’s billion-pound food and farming industry.

Emma Ward, Julie Hall and Katie Leeman from Uncle Henry’s collected the award, presented by Councillor Colin Davie, at the annual ceremony held at the Lincoln Minster School on Tuesday evening.

Talking about their award win, Emma Ward, General Manager at Uncle Henry’s said:

Winning the Select Lincolnshire Tea Room of the Year Award and Retailer of the Year Award is a great accolade for the whole team here at Uncle Henry’s. It recognises our position as pig and potato farmers and our commitment to producing top quality, tasty produce for the farm shop, butchery and café including our award winning One Show Lincolnshire Sausage, range of deli products and homemade cakes, quiches and ready meals.

Our café menu showcases many of our home produced products and all of our meals are prepared in house. The awards are a great reflection of our team’s hard work, care and attention to detail, delivering our customers a fantastic food shopping and eating experience.

Uncle Henry’s are previous double award winners, last year they won Producer of the Year and Retailer of the Year and were Highly Commended for Tea Room of the Year.

About Uncle Henry’s

Uncle Henry’s is an award winning farm shop, butchery and cafe located next to the village of Grayingham, ten miles outside of Gainsborough. Uncle Henry’s opened in September 2006 and is part of a family farming business managed by Emma Ward, daughter of the owners Steve and Meryl Ward. Emma is the fifth generation to live and work at the mixed arable and livestock farm where high welfare pig production and environmental stewardship are important parts of the farming business.

In our farm shop and cafe, we offer our customers a real farm to fork experience combined with great customer service. We have a wide range of products available in the shop including pork and potatoes from our own farm and we are also proud to support over 45 Lincolnshire producers – our local food heroes!

We run a regular calendar of events throughout the year and also have conference facilities for local businesses to hire.
