The biggest and longest running Steampunk Festival is returning to Lincoln

Thousands of people are expected to attend Weekend at the Asylum VII from the 26th August until the following Bank Holiday Monday.

Thousands of people are expected to attend Weekend at the Asylum VII from the 26th August until the following Bank Holiday Monday.

The cobbled streets of Lincoln become transformed by the Victorian Steampunk Society and celebrates a steam powered world in the late 19th Century and attracts visitors from all over the world.

 

The city will be filled with people dressed in flamboyant costumes with top hats, flying goggles and feathers during the annual extravaganza which takes place in the uphill areas of Lincoln.

The bazaar eclectica will bring a Steampunk market to Castle Square which is free to the public along with other events throughout the weekend. It is open for all to enjoy with a festival wristband and includes stalls, shows and activities in the grounds of Lincoln Castle.

It is a big occasion for the city and it attracts crowds from all over the country and further afield too. Visitors to the castle will be entertained with a variety of different things to see and do such as entry to the Victorian Prison, the medieval wall walk and the Magna Carta vault.
