Was your house affected by the flash flooding last night?

Last night, Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue attended 26 incidents of flooding in the Spalding/ Kirton areas.

Last night, Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue attended 26 incidents of flooding in the Spalding/ Kirton areas.

Kirton was the worst affected area with crews from Kirton and Boston attending incidents on Willington Road, Church Lane, Station Road, High Street and Penny Gardens.

The Mallard Road area of Spalding was also affected with crews from Spalding, Long Sutton, Deeping and Grantham attending to help remove flood water and give advice on keeping safe.
For residents who have had properties affected (not gardens or outbuildings), the advice is to contact Lincolnshire County Council on 01522 782082.

Affected residents also need to take photographs of damage to building and contents and to contact their insurance company.

Additionally, residents need to make sure they get permission to dispose of any flood affected items from their insurer and contact their district council to assist with removal.
