A comic look at Yorkshire’s most famous literary family will entertain communities in Appleby, Wroot and Winteringham as part of the LiveLincs new spring programme from 10 March.
‘We are Bronte’ is brought to audiences by Bristol-based theatre company Publick Transport.
It is described as a piece of comic visual theatre, inspired by the real and imaginary worlds of the famous siblings.
The show, which is suitable for ages 12 and above aims to deconstruct gothic themes of love, madness, repression and revenge and promises to be no ordinary Bronte adaptations!
Tickets are on sale. The performances are on:
- Thursday 10 March, 7.30pm at Appleby Village Hall. Call 01724 733255 or 07551931293 to book
- Friday 11 March, 7.30pm at Wroot Village Hall. Call 01302 771802 or 07912490323.

We are Bronte is a mini comedic masterpiece – ambitious, risk-taking, edgy, just downright different. A very mixed audience lapped this up. I loved it. *****
