The company, along with Grimsby Neighbourhood Church and East Marsh Involve, are distributing 500 gift bags packed with biscuits, hot chocolate, soups, chocolates and a Christmas Card to elderly, vunerable and isolated people living in the East Marsh area.

Project manager Chris Taylor said:

Christmas can be the saddest and the loneliest time for some people and this is a way of showing them that they are being thought of. David Christy, managing director of Ramsdens retail division, approached us with the idea and we were more than happy to help, especially as it is helping people from the area close to our store.
