The Natural World Centre’s annual Crackin’ Christmas Celebration took place yesterday and was a fun filled festive day for all the family. Around 1,300 visitors enjoyed the seasonal entertainment, fabulous festive treats and stunning crafts on offer.

Now in its fourth year, the Natural World Centre were excited to work in partnership with the Country Crafts Association and visitors were able to purchase some wonderful gifts direct from artists themselves including jewellery, wooden crafts, scenic photographs, textiles and glassware as well as other great gift ideas including personalised gifts and pottery.

The First South Hykeham Brownies entertained the crowd with seasonal carols in the Boardwalk Cafe while ACTion Community Theatre performed scenes from their upcoming show ‘A Christmas Carol’.

Donna Sutton, event organiser of the annual event said:

We had a fantastic day, there was so much on offer for everyone and it was great to see families joining in with the festive activities and entertainment as well as enjoying the Christmas market and purchasing some beautiful products. It was a great addition working with the Country Crafts Association this year; we hope to work together again in the future.

Now this year’s market is over, don’t forget that the centre’s annual Christmas Craft event will be running throughout December and will close on Sunday 3 January. So come and treat yourself or others to lovely handmade gifts from some of Lincolnshire’s finest craft makers. Items on sale range from glass and wood turned homeware to greeting cards, decorations, stunning art and photography.
