Fiona Gurney of Box of Frogs was at Navigation House last Saturday – inviting the public to come and learn how to make beautiful mosaic decorations which they could take home to hang on their Christmas tree.
The visitor centre saw just under 200 people pass through the door creating lovely handmade decorations kick starting the festive season as well as being a part of the National Centre for Craft and Design’s annual gifted contemporary Christmas market.
Staff from Cogglesford Watermill were also in attendance at the market selling their stoneground flour as well as locally sourced produce and handmade crafted items all of which can be found in their gift shop.
If you missed this event, you can join both Cogglesford Watermill and Navigation House in their next Christmas event on Sunday 13 December from 11am to 4pm. Visitors will have chance to see the mill in operation for the final time this year as well as festive family fun activities including Christmas Carol themed trails and craft activities. Help the staff decorate their Christmas trees or make your own to take home for free.
A new addition to this event will be falconry demonstrations by Fixters Falconry who will be bringing with them a range of Owls, Buzzards and Hawks and will be down near Cogglesford Watermill throughout the day for you to come and learn about these fascinating creatures.
